Powers and Sons offers ball joints in ball sizes ranging from 22mm to 41mm. Applications range from “B-Class” subcompact cars to heavy military vehicles and class 8 trucks. Our ball joints may be greasable or maintenance free, depending on customer preference. They are offered as press-in type, bolt-in type and integral to control arms.
Built to Last
The duty cycle of a ball joint is very severe. It sees high loads with every pothole or curb hit. It sees high temperatures because of its proximity to the brake rotor. It sees ambient temperatures as low as –40 degrees. It is in a direct splash zone for road salt and other contaminants. It can have high articulation requirements due to large amounts of vertical wheel travel. It is expected to be low friction to improve handling. And it is expected to last 10 years or 150,000 miles.
