Powers and Sons produces toe links which have ball joints, cross axis joints and bushings depending on the application.
A toe link cannot decide whether it is a suspension part or a steering part. On an independent rear suspension, its purpose is to keep the wheels tracking (toe) in the correct direction.
It consists of an inner tie rod end and an outer tie rod end. Typically, a toe link has alignment capability for setting the rear toe. In this regard, it is a steering linkage.
However, it does not steer the wheels. The inner end is anchored. In this regard, it is a suspension link.
Keeping this point of reference, the toe link is designed like a rack and pinion tie rod.
