Tow Eyes...

For 99.9% of its life, a tow eye just takes up space and looks macho. It could be made from a stamping, a casting or paper mache. For the brief period of time when it is called upon to haul an SUV out of a mud bog or pull an overheated 18-wheeler out of harm’s way, it had better be up to the task.

Tough Enough for the Job

Powers and Sons produces forged tow eyes and tow hooks that look like they can do the job. They look tough because they are tough. If the application justifies it, they can be 100% magnafluxed after heat treatment to insure against lateral cracks that could affect strength. They are also 100% Brinnel checked for hardness.
